Denpa Onna – 07

Stalker following Maekawa? Interesting.

Which turned out to be the guy with the cow tag in the last episode.

And he’s offering 5000 yen per plastic bottle rocket Maekawa makes. Seriously, 5000 yen? That’s about $75 SGD per bottle!

God, that’s big bucks. ><

Anyway, I was expecting a more Maekawa-centric episode, which was the case in the first few minutes, but after that it became a bit more of…

…A really awkward situation which involved Ryuuko, Makoto and Erio.

Makoto tries Ryuuko’s oyakodon (it was without the chicken, ehehe), only to find pineapple in it. Pineapple in oyakodon (without the chicken)? orz.

Ahhh, Erio with dreamy eyes is good, too… -off to dreamland-

So Ryuuko and Maekawa ends up staying up with Makoto and Erio…

Erio has problems with her coordinates and Maekawa has er…poor blood circulation. Ryuuko isn’t happy.

Makoto will be getting a lot of puberty points for that.

And as if it was some sort of teaser at the end, we get to see Erio in twintails again! HNGGG. D<

See, told ya. Experience was worth three stars. Too high until it couldn’t be counted. xD

Next episode:

Tsiolkovsky’s rocket equation? :D

This episode was such a tease for me. I was so happy with the Maekawa narration early on. Then it just ended so fast. The rest of the episode wasn’t bad, but it was kinda boring.

I think the biggest problem I have with the series has been the lack of ‘obstacles’ in the plot. Given the first two episodes, I thought the series would revolve around Makoto trying to break Erio’s illusions. But with that done, I don’t get any tension or sense of urgency from the story. And now that most of the characters have been introduced, it just feels like a story about nothing (though it may just be the calm before the storm).

As an aerospace engineer, I squealed a little when I saw the preview for next week.

I guess you’re right about the lack of “obstacles”. Oh well, I guess we’ll all have to wait for some plot to appear, then.

I’m still waiting for the snarky Erio back in episode 3, heh.
